Zakaa has around 20 years of progressive HR experience in multi-national companies such as Johnson & Johnson, General Electric, UNDP, International Monetary Fund, LibanCell and Siemens.

Currently, Zakaa is occupying the role of Senior Human Resources Director– Emerging Markets for Johnson and Johnson, where she is leading the HR function for all the sectors: Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals & Consumer.  Zakaa joined Johnson & Johnson in 2013 and prior to that she was the Regional HR Director for GE Healthcare- ME where she also occupied the role of “HR Simplification and Change Leader”since 2010 where she lead HR transformational projects across Emgering Markets.

Before GE, Zakaa was the Head of HR - MENA at the IMF & United Nations Developement Program for 6 years from 2004 to 2010, prior to that she gained deep HR functional experience and worked as Talent Acquisition Leader, C&B Lead, and ER.

Zakaa holds an MBA (thesis: Talent Management) and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the American University of Beirut. In addition, she has a diploma in International HR Studies from Cornell University; she is a Six Sigma Black Belt and a certified trainer in the Change Acceleration Process.

She is Lebanese, married with 2 Kids and currently based in Dubai.
