In the GCC, like other regions, e-learning is becoming a promising solution for corporate learning known for its multiple benefits such as accessibility, flexibility and effectiveness. However, the shift from traditional training in classrooms to more blended learning incorporating e-learning experiences is happening at a slow pace. Some of the barriers slowing this shift could be attributed to the prevailing mindset associated with training for decision makers. The possible reluctance of some to step out of their comfort zone and embrace technology and the lack of engaging content delivered in Arabic and in a ‘Khaleeji’ or national context; the local language and culture of the GCC could also be contributing to this slow adoption. In this context, Khaled Alturki will demonstrate how to re-imagine the ‘Khaleeji’ learning experience
by offering just-in-time courses through video, audio, and other digital tools. These highly engaging courses are designed and developed to target GCC nationals embedding the Arabic language and local culture.
